Short Term Programs for International Students

SD High School Students in Tahoe

Take Your Learning Abroad

Step outside your comfort zone, explore life outside your home country, and take your education overseas. For the past 171 years, we have provided students with an exceptional education anchored in purpose and meaning. Our innovative and rigorous academic and extracurricular  programs inspire students from all over the world to identify their passions and find their purpose both in and outside of the classroom.

While San Domenico offers international students the opportunity to earn a four year high school diploma and the chance to matriculate to an American university or college, students may also choose a one year study abroad program. Either way, the opportunity to study and learn in our close knit community nestled on 515-acres of rolling hills in Marin County, provides an unparalleled experience for students who are interested in spreading their wings!  Conveniently located just over the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, life at SD offers  a college prep boarding experience with plenty of exploration throughout the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.

Our expansive campus features over 10,000 square feet of dedicated academic buildings, a renowned music conservatory, stunning performing arts spaces, a  state-of-the-art athletic center, six tennis courts, playing fields, and new aquatic center with a water polo sized pool. Our campus provides students at all levels, with the chance to discover and develop their interests and passions both in and outside of the classroom.

San Domenico welcomes applications from students from all over the world, and we travel all of the world physically and virtually to meet prospective students and their families.
We invite you to find out more about San Domenico through our admission events and information sessions. As you browse our website, we hope that you will get a glimpse of what it’s like to live, study, and be a part of our San Domenico community.

“The kids had an unforgettable time during their semester at SD! What struck us most is how open the other kids were in welcoming our children. From week one onwards, they were invited to take part in weekend activities and trips to the city. This caused the kids to feel very welcome indeed. Also, their period in the dorms was unforgettable. We’re pretty convinced that we will get SD visitors in Gent soon. The kids are already asking when they can come back. The way you trigger them to be curious is amazing. Thanks to all the teachers. What a team you have! The teachers really get out the best out of these teenagers!”
