About This Camp

Get ready to stretch your creative muscles and inspire those around you! Join us for a two week-long dance intensive geared towards dedicated, hard-working dance students interested in improving their dance technique along with their choreography and creative collaboration skills.  This program will offer training in contemporary dance, with a focus on modern, jazz, ballet, and choreography.  Students will collaborate with San Domenico Dance faculty, to create and produce an original dance to be performed on June 28.  This camp is directed by San Domenico Dance Faculty, Alyssa Carnahan who is a master teacher with extensive choreography and professional dance experience.

Alyssa Carnahan is a dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer, from Sonoma County, California. She has a B.A. from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and an M.F.A. from Mills College.  Alyssa has performed with Ballet Califia, O'Brien Center of the Arts, Orchesis Dance Company, Walt Disney Parks Entertainment, Mills RepCo, and the ODC Pilot Program. She has taught at schools and studios throughout the Bay Area, including the Dance Center of Santa Rosa, Just Dance Academy, Mills College, Presidio Dance Theater, Cross and Crown School, Tiburon-Belvedere Recreation, and Roustabout Theater. Alyssa joined the San Domenico faculty for the 2015-2016 school year.
