Art in Nature Camp

About This Camp
Children will explore the connections between art and nature on San Domenico's beautiful campus. This visual arts camp will be about finding inspiration in nature and exploring nature and our own visual voices through art making. Fun and engaging activities will include using natural materials in printmaking, plein air painting, and making paint from natural materials.
Experimentation is at the heart of creativity! We will begin art projects always remaining flexible considering time & individual interests.
This camp is for ages 6-12
Evelyn earned her BS in Art Education from Florida International University in Miami, FL, as well as full professional certification in Art K-12 from the Florida Department of Education. After graduation, she taught Lower and Middle School art for seven years at Pine Crest Preparatory School in Fort Lauderdale. She earned a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction, Art Education, and subsequently taught Elementary Education majors art integration as an adjunct instructor. She has worked in the museum education department in the United Arab Emirates, taught art to children in the Caribbean, and volunteered with ESL students in the Bay area. In 2016, Evelyn joined the faculty and staff at San Domenico as the Lower School Art teacher.
