New After School Activities for Middle School!

Looking for something new for your student to do after school right here on campus? Do you have a future Iron Chef, Master Coder, or Mountain Biker? We’ve got the activity for you! We are excited to announce a returning favorite and a 2 new offerings for Fall.

Middle School Mountain Biking Club: Fridays, 3:10-4:50 pm, 9/6-11/15

With enthusiastic groups of kids, San Domenico's after school lower and middle school mountain bike rides are always a blast. Our rides give students a chance to build habits that can lead to a lifetime of healthy outdoor aerobic exercise. We have great access to both single track and local fire roads with varying degrees of difficulty but it's really the steadfast enthusiasm from the kids that makes these rides great. Our Middle School Team rides every Friday (weather permitting) after school. As we build up for our optional spring races, we learn about trail riding etiquette and technique. Our focus is on building confidence through individual growth and development while our team progresses toward spring. Overcoming new trail obstacles and along our rides gives participants a sense of accomplishment and self esteem boosting examples of their development and growth.

Technique Based Cooking with Tabula: Thursdays, 3:15-4:15 pm, 9/5-11/7

In this 10 week course, students will learn the 10 essential cooking techniques and how to make 10 easy dishes. They will possess the knowledge and skill required to complete the final project—cooking a family dinner! Some topics we’ll cover: how to set up an organized workstation, food safety, how to season, where flavor comes from, and how to use a knife; as well as the formulas for soup, salad, dressings, breakfast foods, and more!

Hack Halloween & More: Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm, 9/4-11/13

Attention all designers and creatives! Put your own imaginative spin on Halloween and more when you hack costumes, clothing and accessories in this 8-week class. Learn to sew lighting circuits, code a spooky game, or add lights and sounds to some haunted decorations. Students in this class will learn through hands-on sample projects. When October 31st is done, we’ll have fun building on what you’ve learned with more creative design challenges.

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds will be honored up to one week after the activity start date. Spots are not held until payment has been made in full. We do not prorate for late registration or missed classes.
