There’s always opportunity to grow.
Academic excellence in the classroom is only part of the San Domenico experience.
When classes end for the day, students flock to myriad opportunities for personal growth, community building, and some good old fashioned fun. With robust opportunities in after-school care, enrichment programs, athletics, performing arts, and more, we have something to fit every family’s needs.
EXTra After Care
EXTra, San Domenico’s After-School Care program, provides a safe landing place for K-5 students who need to stay on campus past the regular dismissal time. Monday through Friday, we offer a chance for students to run, jump, play, read, create, and relax with their peers in a student-centered environment.
Families may sign up for ongoing plans, or drop in as needed with 24-hour notice. Our team works closely with the Enrichment and Athletics departments to create a fun, nurturing place for children to go before or after their activities.
EXTra also offers care during special schedule days, such as faculty Professional Development days and early dismissals, allowing parents and guardians to maintain their regular daily schedules.
For families looking for more specialized after-school programming, Panther After School Enrichment (PASE) offers balanced after-school enrichment for our K-8 community.
Working in tandem with the Athletics Department and EXTra, PASE offers enrichment opportunities throughout the school year, including cooking, coding, robotics, math club, tinker lab, chess, art, and dance.
SD Athletics offers numerous opportunities throughout the school year for K-12 students to participate in afterschool sports with their fellow Panthers. In addition to competitive varsity and club teams at the high school level, we also offer diverse athletic programming for our K-8 students year round, including Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Flag Football, Mountain Biking, Soccer, Track and Field, and Volleyball.
Upper School student clubs meet after school, providing yet another opportunity for connection, intellectual exploration, creativity, social impact, and fun. From Social Justice Club, to Queer Student Union, to photography, chess, and guitar, clubs at SD are student-initiated and anchored in interests that are as varied as our students’ passions.
From our annual performances in dance, drama, musical theatre, band, and more, our Performing Arts program gives students in grades 6-12 plenty to do throughout the year. These productions are often the highlight of the year for our students, building confidence and community.
In addition to San Domenico programming, our campus is also used independently by some of our coaches and faculty who offer their own programming to the community at large, including summer camps, music lessons, tennis lessons, and a soccer academy.
