Student Life at SD

SD Panthers are extremely passionate about our school, our teams, and our community events. We like to say that our students have an entrepreneurial spirit and you see it in how they show up to support each other!

From music lessons to play rehearsals, student clubs to service outings, basketball practice to the 3D Lab, you'll never find yourself with a lack of opportunity to explore your passions and get to know your fellow Panthers.

A Global Community

Our regional, domestic, and international boarding students make up nearly half of our Upper School student body. All of our K-12 students—day and boarding alike—gain from the perspectives of 25+ countries on campus. And with 515 acres to call home, boarding students take full advantage of what our campus has to offer, whether that means painting in the creekside Visual Arts studio, taking a dip in the pool, or exploring 20 miles of hiking trails right out the front door. Day students are also invited to spend up to 20 nights every year with their friends in the dorms, at no additional cost.

Exploring the Arts

San Domenico is proud to have one of the most extensive and innovative Visual and Performing Arts programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Whether submitting films to Sundance, honing photography skills in the studio, staging a performance in the Hall of the Arts, or studying in our world-renowned Virtuoso Program for professional-track classical string musicians, there are no boundaries to explore your creative passions.
