College Counseling

Updates on COVID-19 and College Visits

San Domenico will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination from any campus visitor engaging with students. The College Counseling team will reach out to all college admissions representatives prior to their visit to confirm logistics. Please see the “Information for College Reps” section for a link to sign up for a visit.

Let your interests and sense of purpose drive your college planning.

At San Domenico, our college counseling program focuses on encouraging independence and accountability while connecting each student’s individual interests and sense of purpose with an appropriate post-secondary plan. We believe that the college application process can be a confidence building experience that promotes self-reflection and individual growth, when approached with the mindset of finding an appropriate academic, social, and emotional fit for each unique student. For this reason, our core values - Study, Reflection, Service, and Community - are mindfully incorporated in our discussions about college and life after San Domenico.

Our college counselors actively serve as a resource for all San Domenico Upper School students, and empower them to drive their college search and become better communicators and decision-makers in the process. Self-advocacy is highly encouraged as students discern interests and abilities, set goals, and engage in purposeful research. Each step of the way, we encourage students to embrace their curiosity and earnestly seek academic and extracurricular challenges that will highlight their personal interests.

+ Congratulations to the Class of 2021!

Information for Visiting College Reps

San Domenico School is located in San Anselmo, CA, in the County of Marin. Our campus is about 35 minutes North of the Golden Gate Bridge, connecting us to San Francisco. We are located at the end of Butterfield Road, about 2.5 miles from Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Please note that as you travel down Butterfield Road you may lose cell phone service!

We schedule our college visits on SCOIR. Feel free to contact us if you need additional assistance. College visits will be hosted during the fall semester (Monday through Friday). Visits are typically 40 minutes and will be primarily with seniors though juniors may attend as their schedule allows.

When you arrive, park in the large visitor lot on your left after the baseball field. The College Counselors are located in the Library at the top of the hill.
