COVID-19 Community Updates
As the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) situation is quickly evolving, we created this webpage to provide resources and current information.
SD's current protocol is informed by our regular and ongoing Emergency Preparedness training. We have been working under the direction of Dr. Matt Willis M.D., M.P.H. and his team at the Marin County Department of Public Health, following their expert advice along with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
On March 12, while there are no San Domenico students, parents, or employees suspected of having contracted COVID-19, we determined that as a preventive measure, we would replace in-class learning with Distance Learning, starting Tuesday, March 17. While we cannot predict how long this situation will last, we are hopeful that we will be able to resume regular classes after spring break.
At SD, our mission includes a commitment to recognize what it means to be human in a global community and respond with integrity to the needs of the times. These are unprecedented times. As always, and certainly throughout this coronavirus outbreak, our values of Study, Reflection, Community, and Service will continue to inform our decision making process, in partnership with our SD Community..
The physical and emotional health and well being of all of our children and community members is our number one priority and your partnership is critical to our success.
