This June 12-17, 2018, SD Upper School students have the opportunity to travel with teachers Mark and Mary Churchill for a week of discovery in Juneau, Alaska. Do you love hiking in breathtaking landscapes, seeing wildlife (whales, bears, bald eagles, sea lions, seals, moose, and more), eating the freshest and most delicious seafood, exploring natural history in a unique and spectacular setting, and hanging out with good company doing all of the above?
If so, you should join the 2018 Juneau in June Outing. We will explore Juneau's natural history, wildlife, glaciers, temperate forests, and coastal habitats. We will also examine how climate change is impacting this unique and biologically important region.
