San Domenico Model UN at Stanford University and Presentation to Rotary Club

Model UN at Stanford

SD's Model 14-student delegation traveled to Stanford University to participate in the Model UN conference. In addition to having fun and learning about many global and historic issues, three were recognized with commendation awards for their research and work in their committees. Kudos to Jack Cheng, Milo Wetherall, and Gemma DeVries!

In addition, students Gemma DeVries, Allegra Schunemann, and Flannery Strain visited the Marvelous Marin Breakfast Club in San Rafael and delivered a 30-minute presentation about the goals of San Domenico's Model United Nations Club and sharing some of the topics they've researched and represented at recent conferences. This included a video that Jack Cheng put together. No surprise, but they nailed it, and in the process were invited to speak to the Mission San Rafael Rotary Club and given leads for a few other speaking opportunities.

As much as we all enjoy seeing our kids shine in class, it's even more fun to see our students taking their awesomeness out into the community.

All the best,
Ken High and Wynn Richards
