Dear San Domenico,
Somewhere around this time of year we remember that food is sacred. Our food has grown from the earth. For hundreds of years seeds have been handed down. Planted in the old world and the new world. Watered and tended by farm workers. Our meals are cooked to bring out every delicious taste. And when we eat, we take that food into our bodies and it becomes us. We are what we eat.
This week we give thanks to the earth, to our ancestors, and to all those who bring food to our tables.
With the blessing of this food may we join our hearts
To the heart of the world in love and awareness
Of our one interconnected life.
Have a wonderful week!
