The Virtuoso Program’s Orchestra da Camera, our string ensemble of 20 players under the direction of Ann Krinitsky, collaborated remotely on this excerpt from the first movement of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings. VP Faculty members Eugene Chukhlov and Sergei Riabtchenko coached the individual players, who practiced and recorded their parts while listening to a guide track and following Ann’s conducting gestures. Eugene then used his musical and technical expertise to edit and assemble the individual parts into this video collage. We think it captures Tchaikovsky's dance-like grace and uplifting energy. Enjoy!
