Earth Day Is Over, but Media Can Help Kids Explore Their Environment Every Day

As we move into spring, it's great to help kids connect to the natural world around them. And while it may seem strange to use media to encourage your kid's love of planet Earth, there's actually some great stuff that can serve as a gateway to nature, whether you have a forest in your backyard or a park with a patch of grass down the street.

You can crack open a book about our amazing planet, play an app that encourages outdoor adventures, or watch a documentary about all manner of creatures. There's something for all ages and interests. The real gateway is you: Help your kids build a bridge between the media and real outdoor experiences to instill wonder and respect for the natural world.
