Annie Errickson always takes classroom experiences to the next level. Representing San Domenico at the 2019 National Association of Independent Schools Conference, she delivered a compelling presentation about bringing joy into the classroom, and that she does! Annie joined our Lower School team as a Fourth Grade homeroom teacher, and serves as LS Tech Lead. Originally from the east coast, Annie has teaching experience in Kindergarten, First, Fourth, and Fifth Grades. Prior to San Domenico she taught in Oakland, as well as New Jersey. She earned her B.A. from Caldwell University where she double majored in Elementary Education and Social Studies. Annie went on to obtain her clear California credential from UCLA. She was awarded KRON 4's Bay Area Teacher of the Week in 2015! Annie is passionate about instilling a love of reading in her students, and provides differentiated instruction to meet the needs of every student in her class. She integrates technology in innovative ways that provide the ideal learning experience for each student. Annie is an advocate for always keeping the whole child in mind. Her class can often been seen taking mindful moments, or reflecting on their day with a growth mindset. Outside of school Annie enjoys spending time at the beach with her husband and Siberian husky. She also loves skiing, and traveling with family.

Why did you choose to work at SD?
I chose to work at San Domenico because from the day I came on my interview I felt welcomed. Many smiling faces helped me find the LS office when I was lost and wandering. I love that a big part of this strong community is the emphasis on service learning and giving back. I work with such compassionate teachers and incredibly kind students and it keeps getting better!
