My favorite place here at SD is hiking up to see the views from the top of our campus.

Definitely Spring Discovery! Last year our class went on many day trips to places around the Bay Area including visiting the Academy of Sciences and assisting elementary school students in a day of school. This year our class went to Catalina Island, off the shores of Los Angeles. We spent the whole week hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, and bonding :)

- After working hard in school all week, what is your ideal weekend?
An ideal weekend for me is to go out with my close friends and family to the Delta and spend quality time out on the water (aka. wakeboarding, swimming, paddle boarding, tubing, etc.)
- What are some of your most significant academic achievements?
Academically, I skipped two grades levels of math in elementary school due to my testing scores. This led to my advancing from fifth grade, directly to seventh grade.
- What is one of your most significant personal achievements?
Many of my accomplishments have been associated with 4-H, a program where kids complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture, and citizenship with guidance from adult mentors and encouragement to take on proactive leadership roles. I have been an officer 9 out of the 11 years that I have been involved with the program. I have also completed many years of projects and received many rewards for my projects. I raise Market Swine for my main project, which I have been doing for over 5 years, and this past year, my Market Hog received Supreme Grand Champion as well as 1st Place in the senior 4-H class. I look forward to continuing my involvement in 4-H until my sentence has fully been served (sophomore year of college).
Thank you for sharing and for being part of our community, Camilla. SD and 4-H are lucky to have you!
