Aenea Keyes is a violinist-composer and MusicAEterna trio founder; has toured Europe, Japan, Russia and the United States; with premieres in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, including Carman Moore’s Mass for the 21st Century; collaborative premieres with dance, theater, film and visual art; and creator of ChamberImprov performances with MusicAEterna.
At Sarah Lawrence College (BA, USA) she studied with Dorothy DeLay, violin, and Meyer Kupferman, composition, and in Europe with Guinka Guichkova at the National Academy of Music (MM, BGR). Festivals/seminars include the Prussia Cove International Musicians Seminar (UK) and Aspen Music Festival (USA). Recordings as a violinist-composer include MusicAEterna’s At the Museum; a new MusicAEterna recording, "Seasons, a Musical Dialogue", to be released this fall. Ms. Keyes is on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Preparatory Division. Her ensemble, MusicAEterna, is Ensemble-in-Residence at the Santa Sabina Center.
