About
Claire Neuner grew up in Austin, Texas. She completed her bachelors degree at the University of Texas at Austin where she studied linguistics and theatre. Since graduating she has taught math, theatre, and special education in classrooms ranging from Pre-K to seniors in high school. She has been fortunate enough to see and experience a wide variety of educational settings, teaching in Chicago, Detroit, and the Bay Area. While she has worked with all grade levels, she most enjoys working with middle schoolers as they navigate this exciting and transitional time in their lives. Claire has attended the University of Kansas for her masters in Special Education, and hopes to continue to study, write, and research topics in special ed such as numeracy, inclusion, and arts-based intervention. Her passion in education lies in finding way to connect STEM subjects with the arts. She has found intense clarity in professional purpose though watching her students gain confidence in math and science while simultaneously learning to express themselves creatively and collaboratively!
