At SD Since

Jennifer graduated from The University of Michigan School of Art and Design, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.F.A. in Drawing and Painting. Prior to her role as Director of Enrollment Management and Admissions, K-12, Jennifer served for five years as San Domenico’s Director of Middle and Lower School Admissions. Previous to her work in admissions, Jennifer spent 15 years teaching Art in SD’s Middle School. During that time she also developed and taught in SD’s Summer Arts Intensive, and served as the All School Assistant Director of Sustainability. Combining her passion for San Domenico’s mission and values with her lifelong interest in sustainability, Jennifer wrote San Domenico’s K-12 Ecoliteracy Goals which are woven into the fabric of SD’s curriculum. Additionally, she spearheaded San Domenico’s involvement in several events in the larger community related to art and sustainability, including the annual, countywide, ‘Celebrate Arts Education’ exhibition, the ‘Eco-Top Chef Marin’ series, and the Marin Organic Student Gleaning Program. At SD, Jennifer has also been instrumental in numerous large scale initiatives including the roll-out of coeducation in our Upper School in 2014.

Jennifer is an active community member, co-founding the public Waldorf Inspired Elementary School in the Lagunitas School District. She currently serves on the Bay Area Director of Admission Board (BADA) as the Director of Preschool Outreach. Jennifer’s daughter, Lilly, graduated from San Domenico Middle School in 2013 and her son, Julian is currently in 8th grade at SD.

“My favorite part of working at San Domenico is the sense of community here. The faculty and staff are passionate leaders who support one another in their dedication to educating with integrity, authenticity, and kindness. For that, I'm truly grateful!” -Jennie
