Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
I am pleased to invite you to learn more about San Domenico’s boarding program. SD boarding students play a very important role in our School community with 120+ international students from around the world, as well as regional and out-of-state students. Together with our 200 day students in the Upper School boarding students and their classmates, teachers, staff, and coaches develop bonds - and forge friendships - that bring to life our commitment to educate globally-minded young people.
Located just 30 minutes from San Francisco, the SD experience is made even more exceptional with our unparalleled Bay Area location and stunning 515-acre campus - a backyard filled with endless options for team and club activities, exercise, and relaxation with friends.
Our boarding students benefit from exceptional, college-preparatory academics and the opportunity to explore purpose and meaning across curricular and extracurricular programs. Whether you are coming to SD from across the world, a few hours away, or down the street, I invite you to come explore our diverse community that feels like home to all of our students.

“The kids had an unforgettable time during their semester at SD! What struck us most is how open the other kids were in welcoming our children. From week one onwards, they were invited to take part in weekend activities and trips to the city. This caused the kids to feel very welcome indeed. Also, their period in the dorms was unforgettable. We’re pretty convinced that we will get SD visitors in Gent soon. The kids are already asking when they can come back. The way you trigger them to be curious is amazing. Thanks to all the teachers. What a team you have! The teachers really get out the best out of these teenagers!” - Bart and Tina L., from Belgium and parents to Olivia ’22, Maxim ’22, and Louis L. ’21
