In order to apply to San Domenico, please create a student profile on Ravenna. Once you have created a Ravenna account, search for San Domenico in Ravenna's directory and select either “Explore” to learn more about admissions events or “Apply” to begin your official application.
We prefer that applicants submit the San Domenico application on Ravenna. However, we do accept the SSAT Standard Online Application (SAO). Please note that the SAO application includes a San Domenico supplemental section.
For your convenience, here are the steps listed on the San Domenico portal in Ravenna that you will take to complete your application:
Register for a Parent/Guardian Tour (recommended but not required)
Parents/Guardians will tour the campus and participate in a question and answer session immediately following the tour. You may schedule your student’s visit on the same day as the parent/guardian tour, but note that parent/guardian tours last approximately three hours while student visits are scheduled for the majority of the school day, including lunch. Please click here for a list of tour dates.
Register for a Student Visit (recommended but not required)
Students will have the opportunity to participate in classes, tour the campus, and meet with students and teachers. Please click here for a list of visit dates.

Submit The Character Skills Snapshot (Optional):
The Character Skills Snapshot is an optional online assessment, taken at home in approximately 20 minutes which measures your child’s character skill development and is meant to complement more traditional cognitive assessments, such as the SSAT. No preparation is required. For students who take the SSAT (which is our preferred entrance assessment), there is no charge to take The Snapshot. Once you register for the SSAT, you will receive an invitation to take The Snapshot. For students who are unable to take the SSAT and provide us with another assessment test, there is a $25 fee to take The Snapshot (fee waivers are available if you require one).
Register for a Student Interview
Student interviews are required and are approximately 30 minutes in length. They are designed for applicants to learn more about SD and for our admissions committee to get to know our applicants better. In keeping with our philosophy of study and reflection, interviews will be scheduled after the student's visit day, providing students with the time to reflect on their visit before interviewing. For out of town students, or upon special request, we will try to accommodate interviews on the same day as student visits. If you are unable to visit our campus for an in-person interview we will contact you to make other arrangements.
Admissions Preview Day & Events
We invite you to attend an Admissions Preview Day and/or one of our other admissions events in order to get to know our community of teachers, students, and parents. Please click here for a list of tour dates.
