After School Enrichment

Panther After School and Enrichment (also commonly referred to as PASE) is your “one stop shop” for all Lower School enrichment and after school offerings. For students in grades K-5, the classes are taught by San Domenico faculty members or industry specialists we bring to campus just for your children.

STEM

 
NEW! Tinker Tech Invent and Code Calling all tinkerers, coders, makers, and budding engineers! Explore your design and engineering skills in this dynamic and creative STEM class. We bring you the tools and materials of a fab lab or makerspace - from craft materials, copper tape and LEDs to micro-bits, little Bits and Circuit Cubes. This TinkerTech curriculum changes each semester as the students build on their skills.
Interactive Technology with Tiny Techies Tiny Techies introduces students to robotics and interfacing through hands-on interactive technology projects. We will build robots, paint with electricity, make wearable gadgets with motors, sensors, conductive materials, and more. We introduce children to technology as a tool of creation and problem-solving design! Let’s dream up the machines of the future!
Coding Club with MV Code We’ll teach you to build an exciting top down game where you can uncover hidden items, solve challenging puzzles, and battle your way through waves of enemy characters. Along the way, you’ll learn fundamentals of computer science using an intuitive and beginner-friendly interface. Let the games begin!
Chess with Checkmate Chess for Kids Students will learn chess fundamentals, critical thinking, and rules of the game. As these are mastered, they will work on more advanced strategies.

COOKING

 
Kids Cooking for Life— Junior Chefs: K-2 From the oven to the tummy, students will be inspired to cook, create, and collaborate in the kitchen. Focusing on essential cooking skills, young chefs will create recipes such as: Turkey and Sweet Potato Tacos, Skillet pizzas, Chinese Beef Lettuce Cups, Heart Healthy Mac and Cheese, “Egg McMuffins” and other favorites. Although we are nut-free, we cannot accommodate all dietary restrictions.

NEW! Guitar/Ukulele Club Enjoy playing songs and learning guitar or ukulele with friends and classmates in a fun supportive environment. Taught by long-term Music Conservatory Faculty Mark Simons. Please bring your own acoustic guitar or ukulele.
First Grade Violin and Recorder Introduction to the string and wind instruments violin and recorder classes after school on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 3:15-3:45. Students need only attend one day per week.
Second Grade Violin or Recorder Introductory violin and recorder classes after school on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 3:45-4:15. Students do not need to have taken the 1st grade class to participate. Students need only attend one day per week.
Glee Club Love to sing? Join the Glee Club! We'll be exploring a wide variety of of music including Pop, Musical Theater, Gospel, World, and Choral pieces, as well as fun games and musicianship building. Students will need a lunch from home.
Handbell Choir In Hand bell Choir fifth graders will explore a variety of musical genres learning handbell technique, rhythmic accuracy and musical expression. Students will need a lunch from home.

ATHLETICS

 
NEW! Basketball Academy K-1 with Coach Hunt Coach Hunt will teach students basic basketball principles emphasizing teamwork, technical skills, and FUN! Sportsmanship is emphasized while helping children develop coordination, agility and all around athleticism.
Aquatics with Coach Gadi Shamah Students will work on stroke development, form, and fitness in small groups with professional coaches. Private and group lessons, clinics, and other trainings are also available.
Tennis with Coach Rob Jessen Lessons and clinic can range in duration from 30 minutes up to 2 hours.
