About This Camp

Jump into the exciting world of fashion and fiber arts! This class will introduce budding designers to the basics of textile and fiber art techniques. They’ll learn how to change the surface of fabrics through processes like Shibori, Batik & tie dying, stamping and fabric painting. Then, it’s fiber arts time as we explore wool felting, weaving, and macramé. Students will learn to design, plan and execute their ideas from an abstract idea into a tangible product.

• Year-round college-educated employees of Dragonfly Designs
• Hold advanced degrees in the arts; we’d be happy to share their portfolios
• Fingerprinted with DOJ/FBI background checks
• TB Tested
• Child abuse mandated reporter certification
• Complete 40 hours of in house practical developmental training prior to teaching in their own classrooms
• 2.5 hours weekly ongoing mentoring/training/development
• Ongoing student teaching practicum with a master teacher
