Weekly Reflection April 14, 2025

Happy Passover! This beautiful holiday is celebrated with a ritual meal that retells the story of the Jewish people’s freedom from slavery. This same story has inspired generations to overcome injustice and seek freedom.

May we see the day when war will end,

when a great peace will embrace the whole world.
Then nation shall not threaten nation,

and humankind will not again know war.
For all who live on earth shall realize

we have not come into being to hate or destroy.
We have come into being to love.

Rabbi Nathan Sternhartz

This final line has stayed with me: We have not come into being to hate. We have come into being to love.

In a time when the world feels so divided, may this reminder guide us back to our shared purpose—to love, to heal, and to set each other free.

With love,

Mirza
