This week saw the return of our seventh grade’s annual Global Renaissance Fair. Having studied various medieval world civilizations during the year, and how cultural diffusion occurred between them, this culminating activity features innovations, inventions, activities, and performances from the historical golden ages of cultures around the world.
From archery to origami, badminton to the Maya ballgame, henna to face painting, flower garlands to food, foam sword fighting to chess, singing and dancing performances to Shakespeare and Rumi recitations, this year’s fair showcased student research and talent in a celebratory way!
“The process of working together as a community makes this fair happen,” shares Social Studies teacher Todd Tash. “It is a rewarding experience for students while providing opportunities to develop leadership, organizational skills, and cooperative learning.”
