Panther Spotlight: Golf Finds Footing in Bay Cities League West Division
Panther Spotlight: Men's Golf

The Panther Golf team is quickly finding its feet in the West Division of the Bay Cities League. Five of the seven golfers on the team are freshmen and returning with new and improved skills.

At the top of the frosh heap is Vincent Z. ’26, the number two player on this year's squad. His golf background will be valuable to the development of his returning teammates. Vincent, Noah P. '26, and Kyle J. '26 “will win matches next year,” according to coach Russell Kessler, an accomplished golfer and skilled communicator of technique and strategy.

The brightest spot in the Panthers’ golfing season came on May 1 in the BCL League Championship Tournament, held at Peacock Gap Golf Club in San Rafael. San Domenico was the host school this year, and AD Mark Churchill constructed and directed a seamless and exciting tournament environment. Henri H. ’24.—the top player on the squad —qualified for today’s North Coast Section Championship tournament at Rooster Run Golf Course in Petaluma. Henri will be competing against 25 percent of the top interscholastic golfers in California. “Henri has the skills and experience to be competitive in this arena, and I look to put him in a position to be successful there,” says Coach Russell.

Go Panthers!
