Grandparents and Special Friends were welcomed back on campus for the first time since the pandemic began, and what a warm welcome it was! More than 300 guests were treated to live musical and dance performances by our K-12 students in the Carol Franc Buck Hall of the Arts, followed by classroom visits giving grandparents and special friends a sneak peek inside life at SD. The event coincided with the final day of our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, bringing our guests together with students, faculty, and staff to load 53,000 food item donations into trucks for the SF-Marin Food Bank. It was a gloriously beautiful day, full of the joy of community, service, reflection, and family.
