The Paris Olympics are almost here, and we can’t wait to root for San Domenico alum Savilia Blunk ’17 as she races for gold in Olympic Mountain Biking!
Savilia was a member of the SD Mountain Biking team for three years before leaving to focus on her career. And what a career it’s been so far! She is the 2024 Elite National Champion in XCO and XCC, boasting eight national titles, two U23 World Cup podiums, and several Elite World Cup podiums.
In her first Olympic appearance, Savilia will be joined by teammate Haley Batten as they aim to end a 12-year Olympic medal drought for Team USA in the sport. Savilia and Haley also have the potential to make even more history, if they can bring home our nation's first-ever gold medal in mountain biking.
