Dorm News: Farewell to our 2022 Graduates

It’s hard to believe we’re approaching the end of another school year. It has been a challenging and rewarding year spent together enjoying hikes with the Churchills, barbecues and birthday celebrations in the courtyard, countless movie nights, cookie baking, weight rooms and open gyms, trips to Red Hill and beyond, and Community Dinners. We are grateful to our entire boarding program for their strength, resilience, flexibility, and sense of community throughout the entire year. We love you!

We would especially like to recognize our seniors. Some of you weathered some incredibly difficult challenges during your four years at San Domenico. Some of you stayed with us throughout part or all of our shelter-in-place in 2020, many of you managed our shifting policies and procedures (and pool construction noise!) throughout last school year, and all of you showed up this year to work hard and play hard together and make the most of your senior year. You have been strong student leaders and we couldn’t be more proud. We will be cheering for you on Kesterson as you receive your diplomas - and we’ll be checking to make sure those rooms are clean and clear before you leave! Please come back to visit us; we love to see our graduates and hear how they’re doing.

To all of our boarding students, we wish you a safe, happy, healthy, and restorative summer break full of fun and adventure. To those moving on, we will miss you and we hope that you will remember all of the life skills and lessons you learned at San Domenico. To those returning in the fall, we can’t wait to see you again and build more memories together.

Happy Summer from all of the Resident Faculty of San Domenico!

-Sonya Evans, Resident Faculty and Upper School English Teacher
