Talking with Kids and Teens About Explicit Content

If your child has access to devices and tech, there's a chance they may see pornography online—approximately 15% of teens we recently surveyed said they first saw pornography before age 11. That's why it's important to have age-appropriate conversations with younger kids, as well as preteens and teens, to set your family's expectations and help them prepare. The conversations may feel awkward, but they're worth it. Setting up filters on browsers and devices is also an effective way of preventing children—especially younger ones—from seeing sexually explicit content.
