Thanksgiving Food Drive
November 4-22, 2024

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

VOLUNTEER – Sign up to volunteer at the SF Marin Food Bank

DONATE FOOD –
Please bring your donations to San Domenico School. You children can bring them to their classroom or advisory. If you have a larger donation, email M. Khan (mkhan@sandomenico.org) and he will meet you in the parking lot to help you unload!

SPIRIT TEAMS – We are really excited to bring back our four food drive teams: the Pumpkin Pies, the Wishbones, the Sweet Potatoes, and the World Peas! These teams create spirit and encouragement for our students. Every Friday throughout our Food Drive, all our students are encouraged to wear their team colors!

ETHICAL FOOD CHOICES

Inspired and informed by our Upper School Social Justice Club, we would like to encourage you to consider the following list of ethical & healthy foods if you are choosing to donate to the Thanksgiving Food Drive.

What types of foods does the Food Bank need?

The SF-Marin Food Bank has requested foods high in protein, low in sodium, sugar, and fats. No glass or perishable foods please.

canned tuna
beef chili

Why buy organic?

Organic foods are produced with fewer agricultural chemicals, which can be harmful for consumers, workers, and the environment. If you can, please choose foods with the organic label.

What food companies have ethical practices toward workers and the environment?

365 Organic
Amy’s
Annie’s
