Students Debate Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccine
Mrs. Churchill’s Upper School Biomedical Ethics class recently held debates regarding a proposition: Should the United States mandate a COVID19 vaccine for all citizens, with only medical exemptions allowed? Students researched past arguments for making vaccines mandatory (polio), current views on COVID vaccinations, and arguments for and against regulation, discussing important human rights.
“The students all did an amazing job preparing very compelling reasons pro and con for mandatory vaccines. They used historical evidence mixed in with the human psychology of being forced to vaccinate,” expressed Mrs. Churchill.
Here, we take you inside a Zoom video presentation of the arguments.
