San Domenico’s Art 4 Honors class was invited along with other Marin high school students to design and create a one-of-a-kind peace sign. The peace signs will be auctioned off to benefit the Arizae Foundation, a non-profit set up to provide humanitarian aid to war-torn Ukrainians. Seventeen peace signs were created by students at fifteen Marin high schools and will be auctioned off online from June 18 through 25. The peace signs will be on display at a lively family-friendly event on June 18th with music, dancing and food. Get more details here: www.arizae.org/fundraising-events.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event and online auction will be used to provide shelter, medicine, IT infrastructure, rescue vehicles, or psychological support to citizens in Ukraine. The hope for the auction is not only to raise money but also to raise awareness among students about the plight of Ukrainians, and to inspire our entire community to work together to give back. We applaud our students for their enthusiastic participation.
