#FacesOfSD - Teresa Notari

In order to share more of our amazing community here at SD, we offer this weekly #FacesOfSD to give you a chance to learn more about our faculty and staff. Today we are thrilled to introduce Teresa Notari, Music Conservatory Administrative Assistant.

Full name?
Teresa Anne Notari

Where were you born?

Palo Alto , CA

Favorite word?
My Favorite word is gioia, an Italian word meaning joy, delight, enjoyment, rejoice. Shall I say more? I almost named my 1st born Gioia but she is Giulia and a joy!

What do you do here at San Domenico? And what is your favorite part of your job?
San Domenico keeps me busy! In the morning before school I am a standby for bus emergency call and dispatching info when it's needed. If the bus your child rides has ever been late in the morning you will have heard my voice on your cell phone in the early morning. Then from 8:00 - 10:00 am you will find me at the front desk reception greeting guests and students and helping them make their connections to what, where, and who they need. I think of it as keeping my fingers on the pulse.

Then, from 10:00 - 4:30 pm, you can find me in the Music Conservatory, where I am the Administrative Assistant and love every minute of it! I work with a wonderful talented group of musicians, teachers, and students and enjoy helping and supporting them. My favorite part of the job is watching the students change and grow up from Lower School to Upper School and moving on to the colleges of their choice. Great conversations happen in my office!

Which Dominican value inspires you the most this week and why? (Study, Reflection, Community, or Service)
Community means everything to me.

What is your ideal weekend?
Yoga in the morning, trip to the beach to take a walk with the dog and my family, or just hanging out in the back yard with the chickens, and a little gardening or a good book . . . and the hammock!

Teresa, for all of the organizing, communicating, coordinating, and outreach you do in our school community, our students, musicians, staff, faculty, and parents are so very grateful to you. Your passion and commitment to going that extra mile to make San Domenico shine are immeasurable. Thank you for all you do here at SD!
