We've got so many cool people in our SD community and we thought you'd like to get to know some of them. Follow along at #FacesOfSD. Here, meet Nastassia F., Class of 2017!
In what grade did you start at SD? I started in 8th grade!
Where were you born? I was born in Paris, France.
What is your favorite subject in school? My favorite subject is Photography.
What activities do you do here at San Domenico? And what stirred your interest to become involved in those activities? Probably the activity that matters the most to me at San Domenico is being Senior Class President on Student Council. I have always wanted to be on Student Council, and I thought senior year would be the perfect way to go out with a bang.
Which of our core values of Study, Reflection, Community, and Service is inspiring you the most this week and why? Community is the most important for me right now, because it is my last year here, and I'd like to thank San Domenico for everything it has done for me.
After working hard in school all week, what is your ideal weekend? My ideal weekend would be a trip to the beach with some friends, and then staying in on Sunday to watch my favorite TV shows.
What is one to three of your most significant personal accomplishments? My proudest moment was performing a Big Swan in Swan Lake last year, which has always been my favorite ballet. It was a magical moment, one that I wouldn't give up for anything.
What is one to three of your most significant academic accomplishments? Last summer I participated in an Entrepreneurship summer program at UC Berkeley and created a business plan from scratch for a start-up company with students all over the world. We got to pitch our company to several professors and entrepreneurs, and learned many valuable lessons.
What was your best, "I wish someone had seen this" moment? I wish someone had seen all the fun that my group had at Pinnacles National Park during Spring Discovery last year. If they had witnessed it, they would have been very jealous!
