#FacesOfSD - Heather Wright Ojha

In order to share more of our amazing community here at SD, we offer this weekly #FacesOfSD to give you a chance to learn more about our faculty and staff. Today we are thrilled to introduce, Heather Wright Ojha, Advancement Systems Manager

Q. Full name?

Heather Wright Ojha

Q. Where were you born?

I was born in Huntington, New York.

Q. Favorite word?

While it is hard to choose just one, as I love words, one of my favorites has always been copacetic. Everything is satisfactory and a-ok! My mom and dad used to say it all the time and it has always resonated with me.

Q. What do you do here at San Domenico? And what is your favorite part of your job?

I am a part of the Advancement Team and am blessed to get to wear many hats in my work. Managing the systems and the Advancement Database is one of my primary responsibilities, but I also assist with all things Advancement - fundraising, events, alumni relations, and the PSA Gala, to name a few.  The people are my favorite part!  We work and interact with so many different kinds of people from alumni from all over the world to current students and their amazing, dedicated parents on the PSA, to teachers and staff, there is always something to learn and service to be shared in our singular focus of moving San Domenico forward and educating our wonderful student body.

Q. Which Dominican value inspires you the most this week and why? (Study, Reflection, Community, or Service)

Currently, I am most inspired by the Dominican value of Service. I find great personal meaning in serving and working to make the world a better place for us and our posterity.

Q. What is your ideal weekend?

My ideal weekend includes a family trip to the Farmer's Market, a beautiful hike around Phoenix Lake or China Camp, spending time with my six year old daughter, (hopefully laughing and having fun), wrapping it all up with dinner with friends or a movie.

Heather, your positive attitude, happy smile, and wise sharing are such an asset to our community. From your support of the PSA, to Advancement, and everything in between, thank you for all you do here at SD!
