Cross Country and Mountain Bike Team Volunteers Help Improve Local Trails
SD Students Working on Local Mountain Bike Trails

Access4Bikes, a local non-profit organization, welcomed assistance provided by members of the San Domenico Cross Country and Mountain Bike Teams in improving local trails over a recent weekend. Athletics Director and XC Coach Mark Churchill, and fellow XC Coach Mary Churchill, shared a letter from Access President Vernon Huffman, thanking the crew for their tireless work on the trails running through San Domenico’s 515 acres:

“I wanted to take a minute to thank this Solstice Trail crew in particular for your hard work yesterday. We got some really great work done on three separate legs of the trail system that all work together to facilitate users in and around San Domenico School. Gravel was moved, laid, and compacted on the 'grey stripe' portion, a new bridge was built on Solstice proper, and a new trail was cut to 75% finish to better connect the lower trail exiting school.”

Thanks goes out to our hardworking volunteers - enjoy some trail work in progress photos here!
