From Head Baseball Coach, Austin Byler:
“Gratitude is extremely important to the human mind. It allows us to focus on what we do have rather than what we do not have in our lives, causing our brains to find the good in our life!
When practicing gratitude it is important to note that you must feel the emotion behind the words. It’s one thing to write down what you are thankful for or think about it, but it’s another thing to actually feel that emotion!
A powerful mental state is the ability to be self-aware of your feelings. Sometimes, especially in today’s culture, vulnerability is a sense of “weakness.” I disagree. The ability to be vulnerable allows you to connect with others on a deeper level as well as fully embrace your life!
Here is a simple exercise for practicing gratitude on a daily basis. This takes 1-3 minutes and can impact your life dramatically if used every day!”
