Position Statement

San Domenico School, a K-12 independent school in San Anselmo, is seeking a dynamic professional for the role of Upper School Mathematics Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a combination of both lower and upper division math courses; flexibility to teach a variety of math courses ranging from Algebra 2 through Multivariable Calculus. 
  • Plan lessons and post weekly agendas and resources to online LMS (Canvas) for 4-5 classes. 
  • Teach lessons in block schedule with clear computational and mathematical    explanations, labs, and interactive lessons. 
  • Mentor a small group of about 12 students with weekly meetings, discussions and advising. 
  • Participate in schoolwide experiential education outings, assemblies and special events.

Core Qualifications

  • BS or higher degree in Mathematics or a related field 
  • Classroom and/or online teaching experience 
  • Teaching credential 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with international students 
  • Experience teaching with iPads 
  • Experience building and delivering curriculum through an LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.) 
  • Teaching in a block schedule 

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $68,800 - $140,000 commensurate with skill set and experience, plus an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/403b retirement plan.
