Meet the admissions staff
Director of High School Admissions
Prior to joining San Domenico School, Dan was the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Marin Academy since 2001. He was initially hired to teach photography and visual art at MA and has served in various other capacities including Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair, Academic Dean, and Junior Class Dean. Dan graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School, has a BA in Photography from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and an MFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design. He served on the Board of Trustees at the Prospect Sierra School in El Cerrito from 2004-2007 and is currently on the Board of Directors of SSATB where he serves on their Finance and Strategic Planning Committees. He lives in Berkeley with his wife, Lucy Puls. Their son René is a sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis.

Director of Admissions, Pre-K - Grade 8
Jennifer graduated from The University of Michigan School of Art and Design, Magna Cum Laude, with a BFA in Drawing and Painting. She has taught art to all ages from primary school age to adults. Jennifer is an active community member, co-founding the public Waldorf Inspired Elementary School in the Lagunitas School District. Prior to 2011, when she joined the admissions department, Jennifer taught 6th-8th grade art at San Domenico for 15 years. During that time she developed San Domenico’s Summer Arts Intensive and served as the All School Assistant Director of Sustainability. Jennifer’s daughter, Lilly, graduated from San Domenico Middle School in 2013 and her son, Julian, will be a part of the middle school graduating class of 2017.

Assistant Director of Admissions, Pre-K - Grade 8
Diane holds a Bachelors of Arts degree with a major in Political Science from the Ohio State University and a Masters of Public Administration degree from Lewis and Clark College. She worked for twelve years in local government in Portland, Oregon and San Mateo, California, as a project manager. Diane has been an active school volunteer in the Ross Valley School District. She is passionate about San Domenico and has been an active volunteer in the admissions office over the past three years. Her daughter, Leah, graduated from San Domenico Middle School in 2012 and her son, Ian, will be a part of the Middle School graduating class of 2016.

Assistant Director of High School Admissions
Andrea Banks hails from sunny Southern California and received her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining San Domenico she worked in admissions at Redwood Day School, an independent K-8 school in Oakland, CA, from 2012-2015. Before Redwood Day School she worked in admissions at Branson from 2006-2010. She is excited to be a part of the San Domenico admissions team as she was familiar with the wonderful students from her time at Branson. Andrea lives in the East Bay with Isaac, her husband, Isaiah, her young son, and Monty and Milo, her dog and cat. In addition to being a wife and working mommy, she spends her time teaching a dance class in Oakland, CA, and rooting for her favorite basketball team - the LA Lakers.

Enrollment Systems Manager
Dianne holds a B.A. from Agnes Scott College, Decatur, Georgia, with a major in Mathematics and Economics. Before moving to the Bay Area, she worked in her family business as the Manager of Accounting and Human Resources. Dianne has worked as an employee in the Admissions Office, supporting all school level Admissions. Dianne and her husband Robert have two daughters that attended San Domenico, Kirsten ’09 and Cailin ’12.

High School Admissions Associate
Caitlin holds a B.A. in English from the University of Virginia and an M.S.Ed. in Counseling and Personnel Services from Fordham University. After working as an SAT tutor and freelance reporter in Jackson, Wyoming for three years, Caitlin decided to pursue her Masters in School Counseling in New York City. Upon graduation, she moved to San Francisco to be closer to family, working as a Student Support Specialist at Willow Creek Academy in Sausalito. She is thrilled to be part of the Admissions team at San Domenico, supporting young people and their families as they explore this inclusive and encouraging community.
