Partnerships
In Fall 2008 we began a formal partnership with Bread & Roses, a widely respected charitable organization that brings professional-level live music to people living in institutions such as hospitals, retirement homes and detention centers. Most Bread & Roses musicians are professional performers, but for years, Virtuoso Program students have been volunteering as soloists for the organization. This year, Bread & Roses Program Directors will arrange for every Virtuoso Program student chamber music group to perform in local residence facilities.
The Virtuoso Program also maintains relationships with other Bay Area music organizations such as the Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Oakland Youth Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Thursday Musical Club, and the Marin Music Chest.
