Annual Fund for Excellence: Give where it's needed most

Keeping a high standard of excellence is a priority at San Domenico. As it does at most Independent Schools, the cost of educating each student at San Domenico exceeds tuition every year. The "gap" is filled by fundraising, endowment earnings and special gifts. These unrestricted funds support people and programs which enable the School to attract and retain talented faculty, maintain small classes and provide exceptional programs.

The Annual Fund for Excellence is San Domenico's first priority. As part of the operating budget, the Annual fund serves as the silent scholarship for every San Domenico student keeping tuition lower than the actual cost of a San Domenico education. Gifts to the Annual Fund assist in making up the "gap"of approximately *$3,800 per student.

Members of the entire San Domenico community - parents, alumni, parents of graduates, grandparents, friends, foundations, faculty and staff - join together to do their part to maintain San Domenico's tradition of excellence by giving annually. Parent participation by 100% of our families is the goal at all school levels. Your tax-deductible contribution helps keep tuition costs minimized and ensures your child has access to the very best resources necessary for success.

The Annual Fund is unrestricted support for faculty compensation and professional development, financial aid, technology upgrades, student activities, program development and much more. In addition, the Annual Fund demonstrates the support of our community for the School and its' Mission. Other funding sources, such as foundations and corporations, consider one measure of the vitality of an institution to be constituent support. When awarding grants, they take seriously the commitment of the School community.

Philanthropic leadership has ensured Dominican education thrive here at San Domenico since the establishment of the San Anselmo campus in 1965.

The Veritas Leadership Circle recognizes donors who provide support of $1,500 or more in annual collective giving to San Domenico School and includes invitation to the annual leadership dinner held the first Sunday of every October.
