Dear San Domenico Families,

At San Domenico I think I will find my purpose,” shared one of our new sixth grade students, while explaining to her parents why she wanted to attend SD over the other independent schools to which she had been accepted. It is the same reason many of your children are here, and why you feel proud to be a San Domenico family. San Domenico’s history of exceptional academics, values-based philosophy, and focus on developing a sense of purpose help young people prepare for an unknown future in a quickly changing world.

We realize that many of our SD families make sacrifices to provide their children with a San Domenico education and we thank you for being part of our community. Your investment in education ensures we continue to enrich our world with individuals inspired by a sense of purpose and service. SD alums carry these values forward in all areas of their lives.

Key to providing this type of student-centered education is the ability to retain top-tier teachers, attract new faculty in the future, and maintain our fiscal sustainability. Our Board and administration have committed to making this a priority so we may best continue to serve you and your family.

At independent schools like San Domenico, tuition dollars alone do not cover the full cost of educating our students. We pride ourselves on efficient operations; even so, the San Domenico Fund and additional fundraising remain necessary to bridge the gap. We must also ensure that our tuition is sufficient to continue to provide an exceptional education for our students.

We have been assessing our faculty compensation in comparison to both peer independent schools and local public schools. Our faculty salaries are lower than comparable programs, and a major portion of the tuition increase is intended to continue to address this concern.

Below you will find the tuition and grade-level fees for the 2016-17 academic year. Please contact us should you have any questions. If you have concerns about affordability for next year, please contact our Enrollment Systems Manager and Financial Aid Coordinator Dianne Dornbush (ddornbush@sandomenico.org) as soon as possible.

On behalf of our faculty, administration, Dominican Sisters, and Board of Directors, we thank you for choosing San Domenico as your partner in education.

All the best,

Cecily Stock, M.A., J.D.
