Julie Davis Butler ’59 was an inspiring, vibrant and passionate person who died tragically in a plane crash in central Burma on October 11, 1987. In 1988, Julie’s classmates created a fund to honor her that affords junior-year recipients the leadership training and service experience to support and continue Julie’s commitment to peace, social justice and selfless love.
Every year on the Friday of Reunion Weekend, students, alumni, Reunion attendees, and family and friends of Julie gather to pay tribute to the deeply rooted San Domenico values of service and social justice, as embodied through Julie’s legacy, and through select senior student R.O.S.E. projects (Real Opportunities for Service in Education).
This year we will be hosting a Reception & Happy Hour at Piatti, conveniently located just off Hwy. 101 in Mill Valley, CA.
All Reunion attendees are invited to join for mingling, nibbles and drinks, and significant others are welcome. We will toast all alumni who have traveled near and far to be a part of this special weekend! This Reception is free of charge, and all are welcome.
At this reception, we will also formally recognize and express our sincere appreciation for our dedicated group of Class Representatives, who are the fundamental glue that connect alums to the School and to each other. All Class Reps are invited free of charge, regardless of Reunion attendance.
Yes. The full registration fee is required to attend any portion of Reunion Weekend, and is used to offset Reunion expenses. The registration fee is applied to all Reunion mailings that you receive, all catered events, rentals and equipment, and professional event photography. No portion of this fee is tax-deductible.
Your ticket price of $75/attendee includes, but is not limited to, all mailings and printed materials, food and beverage throughout the weekend, professional photography and printed photo of your Class, and administration. Your registration fee does not include a contribution to the San Domenico Fund.
We are sad to miss you this year, but do so appreciate your generosity! You can sponsor the ticket(s) of a Dominican Sister, and make donations to the San Domenico Fund through the registration link at www.sandomenico.org/reunion2017.
