I’ve never been to a San Domenico Reunion before – what can I expect?

Who is Julie Davis Butler ’59, and what are Friday’s award luncheon and presentations in her honor?

Julie Davis Butler ’59 was an inspiring, vibrant and passionate person who died tragically in a plane crash in central Burma on October 11, 1987. In 1988, Julie’s classmates created a fund to honor her that affords junior-year recipients the leadership training and service experience to support and continue Julie’s commitment to peace, social justice, and selfless love.

Every year on the Friday of Reunion Weekend, students, alumni, Reunion attendees, and family and friends of Julie gather to pay tribute to the deeply-rooted San Domenico values of service and social justice, as embodied through Julie’s legacy, and through select senior student ROSE projects (Real Opportunities for Service in Education).

What is the new Friday Night Reception and Happy Hour?

This year we will be hosting a Reception & Happy Hour at Piatti, conveniently located just off Hwy. 101 in Mill Valley, CA.

All Reunion attendees are invited to join for mingling, nibbles, and drinks, and significant others are welcome. We will toast all alumni who have traveled near and far to be a part of this special weekend! This Reception is free of charge, and all are welcome.

At this reception, we will also formally recognize and express our sincere appreciation for our dedicated group of Class Representatives, who are the fundamental glue that connect alums to the School and to each other. All Class Reps are invited free of charge, regardless of Reunion attendance.

I’m only coming to Saturday’s activities. Do I still have to pay the full Reunion ticket price?

Yes. The full registration fee is required to attend any portion of Reunion Weekend, and is used to offset Reunion expenses. The registration fee is applied to all Reunion mailings that you receive, all catered events, rentals and equipment, and professional event photography. No portion of this fee is tax-deductible.

What does my ticket price cover?

Your ticket price of $75/attendee includes, but is not limited to, all mailings and printed materials, food and beverage throughout the weekend, professional photography and printed photo of your Class, and administration. Your registration fee does not include a contribution to the San Domenico Fund.

I am from the Class of 2007 – 2017. Do I pay full price for my Reunion ticket?

Graduates from the Classes of 2007 – 2017 are considered our “Young Alumni”, and are welcome to pay a discounted Young Alumni ticket rate of $50/attendee.

Can I register online? When do I need to register by?

Yes! Online Reunion registration is quick and easy! Please visit www.sandomenico.org/reunion2017 to register. We ask that you please complete all registration by Friday, September 8.

I can’t attend Reunion, but I do want to support the School and/or sponsor a Reunion weekend ticket. How do I do this?

We are sad to miss you this year, but do so appreciate your generosity! You can sponsor the ticket(s) of a Dominican Sister, and make donations to the San Domenico Fund through the registration link at www.sandomenico.org/reunion2017.

Is my Class getting together any other time during Reunion weekend?

Many classes plan individual class gatherings off-campus on Saturday evening of Reunion weekend. Please contact your individual Class Representative for more information.

What is Reunion Weekend attire?

Most events during Reunion are casual/dressy casual. Evening gatherings and class parties can be dressier, depending on the type of event being planned. Check out the pictures from past year’s Reunions below for examples of past attendee attire.
